Francela is a Mediterranean Grill & Mezza based in Bury St. Edmunds.
Francela contacted us to rectify some issues they were having. A website was already in place but the booking system and furthermore, emails were encountering problems.
The brief
Francela had seen the work we did for La Cantina. Long time friends and previous colleagues, the owners passed on our details. Sal, from Francela, explained they had a website but they were not receiving emails from the contact form, or reservations from the booking system. The current website was a static HTML site with a bit of PHP to allow the contact & booking form functionality. This meant Francela were unable to update the website themselves. As a result, a content management system – in this case WordPress – was required with a new fresh design.
What we did
Email was investigated first of all. A third party system, Zoho, had been implemented. On looking further into the settings it turned out that the current hosting didn’t allow some of required DNS records. Consequently because of this, some email was getting through but anything sent from the website was not. Basic hosting is included with all our new website builds so we transferred everything to our server. The correct DNS settings were entered and the email issues were resolved. Not bad for ‘basic’ hosting!
